How to Make Party Mask with Feathers!

A feathered mask is the perfect accessory for many parties, such as those with a Mardi-Gras or animal theme. Feathered masks can look both alluring and mysterious as they hide part of the wearer's face. To get this look, you can create your own feathered mask that fits the occasion and your personal taste. Using various kinds of feathers and placements allows you to get creative and express yourself at a party in style.

INSTRUCTIONS

Things You'll Need

  • Simple plastic mask or poster board
  • Scissors
  • Assortment of feathers
  • Heavy-duty craft glue
  • Elastic cord

  1. Buy a simple plastic mask or cut one out of durable poster board and punch holes in the ends, about one inch away from the eye holes.
  2. Choose what kind and colors of feathers you would like to include on your mask. Brown, tan, and gray feathers look more natural, while brightly dyed feathers look quite festive.
  3. Practice arranging the feathers on the mask until you find a layout you are most comfortable with. You can cut the feathers to various lengths to add more dimension and interest to your mask.
  4. Cover the mask in a heavy-duty craft glue.
  5. Place the feathers onto the mask one at a time. Use more glue as needed to layer or stack feathers on top of each other. Allow to dry completely.
  6. Tie a piece of elastic cord through both of the small holes on the mask to create the band

How to a keep a vintage look fresh

So, how  to make vintage keep look fresh at the same time?

Choose only pieces that fit you. A great vintage find is only worth your while if it actually suits you and fits you well. Avoid pieces that are too worn out or in poor condition.
Mix vintage pieces with new ones for a look that’s both authentic and current. A vintage dress can be made to feel new with the right accessories; or a new dress can be given a historical twist with an original vintage handbag or pair of shoes. The same can certainly apply to mens when it comes to accessories and suiting.
